“Samudaya” -a poem by Brooke Boddie

Gelato in Santorini

Kulfi in the Middle East

Sherbet in the Caribbean

Jim Beam in the meantime.

Sorbet in Atlanta

Fro- Yo in Decatur

Mochi in Cobb County

Tito’s on the weekends.

So many flavors to crave

Go on, Seize the day!

Watch the hours go to waste

Or the list could go on…

So many thoughts you wonder

I can sense your hunger.

Even the Buddha tried to prepare you for this.

He said, “ Craving and desire are the cause of all unhappiness. Everything sooner or later must change, so do not become attached to anything, instead Devote..”

I knocked on Nirvana’s door, No one answered

So I went back to my bucket list.

All of the flights were booked

The hotels were too

Now I’m on the outside looking in.

  1. 🤔…. The Second Noble Truth & the ills of our worldly yearnings ( be it travel, food, etc. )…

Let us evolve our mentality for a better tomorrow, today ( Romans 12:2 )

As Mr. Morale so vigorously stated at the end of ‘Mother I Sober’,” THIS IS TRANSFORMATION “!

Awesome peice *snap, snap*…. welcome back lol
