The Love of The Ocean
You told me you liked the white sand
You always wanted to experience it
—Feel it in-between your toes
You said you liked to watch the current
And I listened
I took note
–I still didn’t know what you wanted.
I watched your lips move.
Your eyes told me everything I needed to know.
—The uncertainty towards me
Led you astray.
So I followed you for miles.
There was no draft,
No current
No wind.
A stillness in the air;
rage at the forefront.
I saw you watch admirably.
I guess you grew tired of my beach.
Interesting piece here…I’ve read it a couple of times and I’m still trying to figure out if the perspective in which you are speaking from is from the Ocean itself or something/someone else. .. or I could just be digging a bit too deep into this lol…either way, it’s a vibe forsure.
